Ammo-Lock 2 detoxifies harmful ammonia levels that can result from overstocking and overfeeding of fish. Although ammonia remains in the pond, with proper treatment the levels will neutralize and convert the ammonia to a non-toxic form that is safe for aquatic life. This non-toxic form becomes a nutrition source for the biological filter which converts the ammonia into nitrite and then to non-toxic nitrate.

Ammonia levels will test positive when using Ammo-Lock 2 but levels will drop as the filter breaks down the converted ammonia.
