Aquarium Pharmaceuticals Pondcare Aquatic Planting Media contains a unique blend of natural minerals, including zeolite, created especially for pond plants. Regular garden soil is usually not suitable for aquatic plants because the soil tends to be too rich in organic matter. Algae promoting nutrients found in the organic matter leach out causing green pond water. Also, light loose garden soil will float around the pond causing cloudy pond water.

Aquatic Planting Media adds no algae promoting phosphate into pond water. Planting Media does not float, cloud water or clog pond filters. Media will not adversely affect pH level.
