This process removes heavier debris out of the water before it reaches the filter media and ensures even distribution of pond water throughout the filter chamber. Top feed promotes water oxygenation, and eliminates the need for a check valve to prevent back flow when power is off.
The Livingponds versatile filter has a 2" pipe discharge. For larger ponds simply plumb two Savio versatile filters together, or use a versatile filter in conjunction with a Savio waterfall filter. Either setup works great in a pond up to 9,000 gallons in size with a pump flow up to 3,000gph.
