Designed for use directly in the soil, PondCare Aquatic Plant Food Tablets gives continuous, slow release of nutrients and trace elements to ensure non-stop blooming of hardy and tropical aquatic plants. Rich in iron and contains boron for promotion of flower formation.
Nearly all aquatic plants obtain nutrients through their roots, and will not grow well unless all of the necessary nutrients are available. If the manganese level is low, new plant growth will appear yellowish. A lack of calcium slows growth and increases susceptibility of fungal and bacterial diseases. Water lilies, for example, are heavy feeders and must have a constant supply of nutrients for vigorous growth, flowering, and winter hardiness.
