For light-duty applications CalPump P80 magnetic drive, or wet-rotor pumps, are energy efficient and durable. All electrical components in these units are completely sealed in a non-toxic plastic resin. The impeller is mounted on a magnet that is chased around in circles by electrical charge from the sealed motor. It's a safe, efficient pump for light-duty freshwater or saltwater applications.
