Savio Koi Medic Salt Pen is specially designed to measure and monitor the salt concentration in fishponds and water gardens. Is easy to use and measure accurately from .01% to 1%. Simply turn pen on and dip into pond, within a few seconds the LCD displays salt concentration.

Water resistant, the Koi Medic Salt Pen operates on four 1.5V button cell batteries. Automatic shutoff prolongs battery life also has low battery warning. Resistant to drop shock.

Salt concentrations between 0.3% and 0.5% will kill off some pond parasites. Salt concentration of 0.3% is effective at detoxifying nitrite and concentration of 0.25% or higher has been used to control string algae. Remember, increased salt concentration can cause pond plant damage. Floating plants such as water hyacinth and water lettuce are more sensitive to salt than most bog plants.
