Tetra Pond Bio-Active pressure filter provides both mechanical and biological filtration without the foam! Open-Profile Bio-Activators trap dirt and debris as water is pressurized into the filter. Ultraviolet (UV) cleaning improves water clarity by destroying algae growth, it is then removed through the filtration system. Beneficial bacteria converts ammonia (which is harmful to fish) into nitrate. It is then consumed by aquatic plants. This is known as the Nitrogen Cycle.

Filter back flushes easily! Can discharge dirty water into the garden. A layer of bio-film containing beneficial bacteria will remain on the bio-reactors. No need to replace the bio-activators.
