CalPump CPS UV clarifier improves pond water clarity by destroying algae, the cause of green pond water. As algae passes through the unit, the ultraviolet light bleaches chlorophyll from the plant, causing the chlorophyll to stick together. When the UV is used in conjunction with a biological filter, the chlorophyll passes into the filtration system where it will decompose and combine with beneficial bacteria that render nutrients harmless to the pond.
CPS means Clear Pond System, and the 18 watt UV clarifier is rated for medium ponds up to 2000 gallons, with a maximum flow rate of 1000gph. Easily installs inline as a stand alone fixture. Connects to 1" or 1-1/2" flexible tubing.
